Dr. Austin W. Curtis' s retirement and farewell party
was held in July of 2001. This prestigious yet sad
event was hosted by Mr.& Mrs. Douglas Crawford and
the HOUSE OF BEAUTY MALL INC.. Many of his friends
and associates attended the affair.
Dr. Curtis was happy to observe The Curtis Museum
established in his honor. Over the years Dr. Curtis Had
accumulated an outstanding historical collection, that
he gifted to and is now on display at The Curtis
Museum, 14034 W. McNichols , Detroit, Michigan
48235.
